ASCII Digits 0-9

The ten decimal digit characters occupy ASCII codes 48 through 57. Their code points were deliberately arranged so that the lower nibble of each byte matches the numeric value - code 48 (0x30) represents the digit 0, code 49 (0x31) represents 1, and so on up to 57 (0x39) for 9.
